The festival programme is suitable for
children of all standards with the exception
of complete beginners. Unfortunately, we are
not able to teach somebody how to play chess
from scratch, but as long as the children
have an understanding of how the pieces
move, we will have something for them.
We welcome children with special needs or
other requirements. Just let us know in
advance and we will be happy to work with
you to ensure an enjoyable and rewarding day
for all our visitors.
Photographs are taken at all London Chess
Classic events and may appear on the CSC
website as well as the charity’s promotional
material. Invited members of the media may
also film some of the events for broadcast.
Appropriate parental consent should be
obtained by schools beforehand.
We ask teachers and accompanying adults to
retain responsibility for their children
during their visit to the London Chess
Classic festival. We regret we are not able
to act “in loco parentis” and are not able
to take responsibility for any child’s
actions, or for the actions of anyone that
may affect your child.
